[July 24th] /pops appointment cherry
So it's with a smile that he enters the apartment at last, glancing around for signs of life - namely, their puppy-and-kitten "kids".]
Anybody home? We're back!
[July 24th] /makes it a threesome
But homesickness was a thing, though it was mostly for friends and pets than the actual village. Teddy walks in just behind his boyfriend, letting go of his hand to have both of his own free for pet lovings.]
Puptimus! Misty-cat!
[July 24th] /joins right on in
He was worse than Lucky whenever she brought pizza over to Clint's.
At the sound of a couple familiar voices, she walked out from one of the back rooms where she had been lounging about reading and idly petting Misty to the living room area. Placing her hand on her hip as she stood in the door frame, she eyed them both.]
About time you guys returned.
[July 24th] GIRL COOTIES
Kate's appearance - and her thorough disapproval - hadn't been expected, though in retrospect Billy realizes it should have been. Oops.]
Oh, uh, hey. Thanks for looking after the place...
[July 24th] CAN YOU DO A GENDERSWAP MAYBE
He notices Kate standing there too, and he lifts his head up to make Optimus lick at his neck and chin instead so that he can look at her.]
Yeah. You're a life saver, Kate. [Yeah, her disapproval is clear on her face. Maybe if he smiles it won't be so bad...? Plus he's just happy to see his dog again.]
[July 24th] DO NOT TEMPT ME
[July 24th] TEDDY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
[July 24th] COME ON BILLY SHE LOOKS LIKE ARCHER WHEN GENDERSWAPPED
[July 24th] FACE IT. KATE'S HOT NO MATTER HER GENDER
[July 24th] ABSOLUTE TRUTH
september 9th. voice. (sorry for the backdating!)
It's kind of late when he hits the edge of the village. The sun has sunk low. And he's not done just yet.]
Hey Kate. I thought you'd like to know I'm back in town. Apparently. You up for some coffee? What am I saying? Of course you are! What else is there to do here?
september 9th. voice. (absolutely no problem what-so-ever)
...There really was a reason his codename was Speed.]
Whoa, Tommy! Slow down! [No need to mention that she's already at the coffee shop.] When did you get here?
[Because no one mentioned his arrival during her own homecoming.]

[October 20th] || I promised you a thread-- is here ok?
So that was a bunch of stuff to take in.
She hadn't been avoiding Kate, exactly, but she also wasn't entirely sure how to approach her, either, after what they had been up to in that other, more perfect world. However, Luceti is only so big, and when they live in the same building, and have similar movements about town, it's only a matter of time before they run into one another.
So, ready or not, Wanda finds herself laying eyes upon Kate for the first time since the event.
Definitely not ready.
Oh well.]
... Hey.
here is absolutely perfect <3
Diving head first into work keeps you busy, okay?
But it really is unavoidable to run into the people you share a building with when said people actually move at the same speed as the rest of them. And as she walks into the door and spots Wanda, she offers a relatively cheerful gaze.
Easiest not to think about what Wanda may or may not know. Right? Right?]
Hey!
Huzzuh!
Sorry I've been-- missing you. ... How've... you been?
[Try to sound less awkward, Wanda. Just... just try.]

[As in busy avoiding Tommy. She's gone to see Billy and Teddy every single day. Someone has to make sure the boys don't fall into a spiral of self-pity. Especially with Billy. She's lived through that once. There's no way in hell she ever wants to live through that again.
Her smile isn't as easy or genuine as normal. It's a bit weak if anything. But she still tries.]
Trying to get back on track with the club. I've been meaning to talk to you, actually.

[november 2nd | action] bet you thought I forgot
Still, he felt bad- he'd gone to the party at Kate's urging, because she'd been worried about them. So has a peace offering, he sends an invite to have breakfast together, leaving a note for Teddy beforehand and venturing out to find a good place to get coffee and something to nibble on. He'll be waiting there for her, reading a random book he'd picked up at one of the gift shops.]
[november 2nd | action] maaaaaaaybe <333
...she can get used to this kind of life.
By the time she gets Billy's message and makes it back to her place to shower and change clothing, she's a good half hour late. To be honest, she hadn't noticed Billy and Teddy leave early. Kate had been otherwise preoccupied. A sheepish smile crosses her face when she slips into a seat across from Billy, hair still damp from the shower.]
Hey. Sorry about keeping you waiting.
[november 2nd | action] <333
No worries, I was only starting to think I'd been shunned. [The sass should at least let her know that he's in a more decent mood today.] So how late were you up last night, then?
[november 2nd | action] <333
Late enough. [Kate does her best to play nonchalant, reaching for the menu to brows through.] It's been a while since we've had a movie night, y'know?

But Kate's not him.
And Kate's hurting. And that's not good. Billy's a friend but Billy's still got Teddy and that's probably not a great way to deal with anything. he figures he's not great to deal with this either, but he can do his best.
He knocks on her door, armed with a backpack full of junk food. ]

She makes her way to the front door and opens it, raising an eyebrow when she sees Tommy on the other side.]
What are you doing here?
no subject
[ That's not an answer, Tommy. He shrugs and gestures to the bag, hoping that gesture conveys "I'm worried about you, I brought you horrible junk food, and I know you're sad and I have the emotional capacity of a very annoying hamster but I'm here for you". ]
no subject
It makes her smile a little. She opens the door wider and stands aside to let him in.]
C'mon in. There are dishes in the kitchen.

[voice | march 16th]
Kate! Up for a coffee date this morning?
[voice | march 16th]
She flips open the journal sometime after her shower, leafing through the pages as she towel dries her hair. When she notices the message from Billy, she grins.]
You bet. Got a time in mind?
[voice | march 16th]
I can be there in about twenty minutes, if you're game.
