5th Shot [Video/Joint post]

[It's been some time in coming. And though they had planned on a New Year's opening, it takes more work than otherwise imagined to build a night club from scratch. It also probably doesn't help when one of the partners decides to move a handful of days before the projected opening night. Things become a lot more chaotic and, well, plans get put aside.

But finally, nearly two weeks after the proposed opening day, things are just about ready to go. There isn't any mistletoe hi-jinks to get in the way. Only a sick friend who, hopefully, will get better before their grand opening next week. Proper advertisement is as important as a well-managed business and it's clear from the way the two girls stand that it was probably Kate's idea to do this all along.

They stand in the entrance of the club, the journal carefully propped to capture them both in frame, as well as parts of the floor and stage of the nightclub. Kate grins at the camera, completely at ease with the advertisement she suggested they film. Wanda stands with one hip jutted out to the side, her hand resting there, the other hanging easily at her side. It is a more confident posture than she's typically seen with, short of those who have seen her in her "Scarlet Witch" persona.]

Hi. Are you bored? Lonely? Cold? Or just looking to get up and move? [It is highly probably this little speach was rehersed multiple times, given the way Wanda speaks them. She smiles, happily enough, though.] Come join us at HQ, then. We're starting the party this Friday at our Grand opening.

[Kate nudges her friend, doing her best to subtly flash Wanda a thumbs up. Then, it's her turn to grin at the camera, utterly at ease and completely winging her share of the speech.]

Drinks are on the house. Don't get caught out in the cold, Luceti. Come to HQ, where the music's always hot. And for you new comers to town? We're still hiring! Interested in working in the hottest club in town? [Never mind that it's Luceti's only club.] Come on by and give us a try.

... Couldn't hurt? Someone to... go around and make sure glasses aren't being left everywhere? [Wanda is pleased at the idea of Mystique getting out and about.]

Pretty much, maybe keep an eye out for people getting belligerent. Plus it lets your bartenders focus on serving drinks without worrying about retrieving them.

Like I said, I basically majored in it. It kept me busy when he was in his classes.

Well... I'm pretty sure we'd love to have you working with us then. I mean. Kate's doing most of this stuff, she knows what needs to get done. But as far as I'm concerned. .. I don't think anyone will mind your coming in and making our lives easier.

Do you have a uniform in mind for it?

[ It won't be hard to visualize a waitress uniform for a club. It might even be good practice on maintaining her facade in a distracting situation. ]

Something... club like. Girls usually wear very short dresses-- low on top, high on the bottom. ... We've got a sort of "Purple" theme going on, but Black is good too. ... Blue is also very acceptable. [Look at Wanda, being subtle for once! Or as subtle as she gets, at least.]

So something purple or black, huh? [ She smiles, aware of what Wanda is up to. She's not ready to go au natural just yet. ] I think I can make that work.

Or purple and black . ... Or black and purple! [She's trying to be funny, lord help us all.] I'm going to wear red. ... because I always wear red. But it's however you're most comfortable, really.

You're the owner, you get to do what you want as far as clothes go. I'll make sure to stick with the theme so people don't think I'm stealing their drinks or something.
